It's not just an "almost authentic-looking castle," it is actually the world-famous Cloisters Museum, a structure built of several medieval European buildings transported to the US a century ago by a rich eccentric, holding such works of art as the famous Unicorn Tapestries.
This event will also be kicked off by the NYC debut Team USA of the Battle of the Nations, the world championships of medieval armored combat.
So not only will you be at a great medieval festival in the greatest city in the world, you will also have a chance to see full-contact competitive knightly combat and some spectacular genuine pieces of medieval art!
Very small faire but there are not that many vendors nor do 10,000 people attend. I doubt that in all the years combined of this faire that many have been in attendance. The food is over priced and not very tasty.
The people are friendly and the shows are passable = 2 stars
